This minimal couch can be made to order in any desired length per meter. Because of the upholstering, a loose sleeve that is stretched over the construction, the couch, in whatever length, appears to be a single entity. The height and width of the sofa are fixed and have been chosen to utilize the total width of a standard bolt of upholstering fabric. In principle, the only limitation in length therefore is the length of a bolt of fabric. Couch p/mtr is not a form but a system that anticipates perfectly a time that appreciates minimal form or ornamentation as a figure of style. All attention is subsequently aimed at maximising the possibilities that this ïminimalismÍ implicitly has to offer. This couch, freed from the banality of the two-, three- or four-seater, gains its practical strength and expression from the fact it can literally be deployed wall-to-wall.
